LG Display has recently introduced a new delivery service at its Paju facility, utilizing autonomous robots powered by artificial intelligence. This innovative service aims to streamline the delivery process from a coffee shop located within the facility to various buildings where employees work. Notably, this marks the first outdoor robot delivery service in an industrial complex in South Korea.

The delivery robots are designed to navigate the area efficiently, recognizing obstacles and moving at a speed comparable to that of a person walking briskly. Given the size of the Paju site, which is larger than 150 soccer fields, the robots will significantly reduce the time and distance employees need to travel to pick up their orders. Employees can conveniently place their orders through a mobile app.

LG Display plans to conduct a trial run of the service until April 18, with a full launch scheduled for April 21. The company also intends to gather feedback from employees to expand the range of items available for delivery, potentially including burgers and other food options, thereby enhancing convenience for its workforce.
