This summer, Beijing is set to host an exciting event that pushes the boundaries of robotics technology. The World Humanoid Robot Games will take place from August 15 to 17, bringing together innovative teams and cutting-edge robotic technology at the National Stadium and National Speed Skating Arena. This event aims to foster global collaboration and showcase the incredible advancements in humanoid robotics.
The competition will feature 19 different challenges that will test the capabilities of humanoid robots. Participants will compete in unique events like floor exercises, soccer matches, and even dance competitions. What makes this event particularly interesting is the strict set of rules – each robot must be completely autonomous, without any external assistance or visual markers to guide them. The organizers have also emphasized safety, prohibiting the use of dangerous energy sources and requiring teams to provide their own internet connectivity.
Jiangang Guangzhi, a key official involved in the event, emphasized the importance of bringing together researchers, industry professionals, and end-users to advance robotic technology. The World Humanoid Robot Games is not just a competition, but a platform for global exchange and technological innovation. Additionally, the event will be complemented by the World Robotics Conference from August 8 to 12, where approximately 200 companies will demonstrate their latest technological breakthroughs in the field of robotics.
