Travel technology company Amadeus has decided to continue its partnership with Microsoft by renewing their cloud computing contract. This agreement builds on a previous deal made in 2021, allowing Amadeus to further enhance its cloud migration strategy. So far, the company has successfully moved over half of its applications to the cloud, and this new contract aims to accelerate that process even more.

In addition to cloud services, Amadeus plans to incorporate Microsoft's artificial intelligence (AI) technologies into its operations. One of the key projects includes upgrading their online booking tool, Cytric Easy, to provide a more interactive and user-friendly experience. They also intend to develop a virtual operations center for airports and a new AI tool to help hotel managers analyze business data more effectively.

Amadeus, a Spanish multinational company, operates a significant data center in Erding, Germany, which has been crucial for handling millions of transactions daily. The company has faced challenges in the past, including a brief outage of its booking platform that caused flight delays. However, with this renewed contract, Amadeus is optimistic about leveraging technology to transform the travel industry for the future.
